Water bead sensory bins encourage and support varies types of development by providing children with a hands-on, tactile way to engage their senses.

Make water beads fun AND safe for little ones under 3 years. Fill a ziploc bag with water beads and tape to the floor or fill a plastic bottle with water beads and water and let them squish, roll and shake it.  

Make learning colours, counting and sorting fun with water beads by combining the vibrant colours with fine motor skills and sensory play. Use an ice cube tray or fidget popper.

Use simple tools found around the house, like tongs, tweezer or spoons to pick up and sort water beads.   

Use water beads to learn about polymers, water hydration and  absorbency. Use clear water beads in water to learn about refraction.

Use water beads in a variety of colours to create themed bins.

Ex: Unicorn = pink, purple, orange and blue

Make those bumps and bruises hurt a little bit less by making an ice pack with water beads. Freeze colourful water beads in a small ziploc bag and use over and over again. 

Use your favourite DIY slime recipe and simply add hydrated water beads for extra texture and fun. 

Make your own air freshener by hydrating water beads with essential oils. Leave the jar open or use a lid with holes. 

Brighten up your floral arrangements by adding water beads to keep the flowers hydrated. Match the colour to your décor or the flowers.

Water beads are a great soil alternative for plants and add colour to your decor. Watering will only be required every 3-5 weeks as your plant absorbs the water released from the beads.
